Kris Stokes is a graphite artist based in Belper, Derbyshire. Working exclusively in black and white, she combines close observation with subtle imaginative shifts, allowing familiar moments to be quietly unfamiliar.

Kris brings a strong sense of composition, white space, and structure to each piece before developing the image through intricate layers of graphite, light, and texture.

Kris is currently developing a cohesive body of work for exhibition and open-call opportunities, while making selected original drawings and limited edition prints available.
