"I love the way characters appear while I'm drawing. I might start with an animal, but somewhere along the way a personality emerges — and suddenly I'm not just drawing a creature; I'm remembering someone, imagining someone, and telling a little story."

Every drawing has a story behind it. Some begin with an idea, some with an expression, and some with a character who seems to appear on their own.

Step behind the drawings. Join my mailing list for new work, early access to originals and prints, and the stories behind the characters.

"We never really outgrow stories. We see ourselves, the people we've known, and the world around us through characters."
