THE BIRD'S STORY
Three little dickie birds, sitting on a wall...
Yes, I know the rhyme is supposed to be two little dickie birds, but when Gary the ruffled robin flew in with the latest gossip, it quickly became a conversation none of them wanted to miss.
Just look at him. He clearly has something to say, and the other two seem rather interested in hearing it. I can almost imagine him leaning in to share something particularly juicy, while his companions listen carefully to every word.
I often wonder what birds are actually chirping about when they sit together like this. What if they're gossiping about us?
“Honestly...”Perhaps we'd be better off not knowing!
I love imagining the little stories happening in the world around us — the conversations we can't hear and the personalities hiding in the creatures we pass every day. Sometimes it's fun to look at an ordinary scene and wonder whether there's something else going on that we've completely missed.
After all, we spend so much time watching the birds that perhaps we forget they're watching us, too.
I wonder what Gary has heard about you?
