SAM'S STORY

Sam is a dog with grand ideas about jetting off to explore the world. He doesn't know exactly where he's going, or even what he might find when he gets there. He's only interested in climbing into his rocket, reaching for the stars and seeing where the adventure takes him.

When I first thought about drawing Sam, he wasn't planning to travel anywhere. But sometimes, when I'm drawing, a character begins to develop a personality of their own, and before I know it, they've taken me somewhere I hadn't expected to go.

Sam's enthusiasm for adventure is infectious. He doesn't seem particularly concerned about the unknown or what might lie ahead. He's just happy to be on his way, full of excitement and convinced that something wonderful is waiting for him out there.

I think there's a little bit of Sam in all of us. That part of us that dreams about doing something different, discovering somewhere new or simply stepping outside the familiar and seeing what happens. Sometimes we just need a little encouragement to take that first step, even if we haven't quite worked out where we're going.

Sam reminds me that adventures don't always need a carefully planned destination. Sometimes it's enough to have a little courage, a sense of excitement and the willingness to see where life takes us.

After all, it's one small journey for a dog and one giant leap into the unknown. Just remember to pack the biscuits!
